Warming Centers
Local churches and nonprofits are partnering to provide a safe place for our unhoused neighbors during dangerously cold temperatures between Dec 1, 2025 and Feb 28, 2026. You can be part of this effort by volunteering your time or donating resources to help keep every neighbor safe and warm this winter. The list of participating churches will change as additional partners open their doors:
- Church Street United Methodist Church, 900 Henley Street (OPEN 12/29 and 12/30)
- Cokesbury Church, 9919 Kingston Pike (OPEN 12/29 and 12/30)
- Eternal Life Harvest Center:
- 2410 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue (OPEN 12/29 and 12/30)
- 1801 Western Avenue (Will only open if MLK Ave location reaches capacity)
ReLaunch/Salvation Army, 409 North Broadway (in the former Foyer building next to the overpass) is now a seasonal shelter, open every night, regardless of temperature, until Feb 28
